Its been a hectic past few months with notable events such as handing in my last piece of school coursework and police interviews.
It was with immense pleasure and relief that I handed my last ever school level coursework in - an investigation into the effect of gender upon the language used in health articles. Boy was I glad to see the back of that one!
It is also with some sadness that I look upon this milestone in my education, everything is starting to feel final. Posters for the leaver's dinner have gone up round school and huddles of year 13 girls can be found discussing dresses and swapping makeup tips. The boys? Too busy playing football to care much, I fear. However I suppose we can forgive them they do after all only have to hire a tuxedo - no fear of turning up wearing the same thing lol.
At present I am considering this dress from moon maiden, the nice friendly, vegetarian goth company in cornwall.

Hope to get it in the colours shown.
The new senior students have been elected and exam timetables have been issued. Why is it that having spent the last couple of terms explaining to all who would listen that I can't wait to get out of the school, that I suddenly find I am absolutly terrified of leaving it. I feel so confused lol! With only a term left to go, I have developed cold feet and would do almost anything to stay with the nice security blanket that is the high school.
I guess I just need to take a deep breath and trust in the Lord and His plan for me. I am beginning to flap my wings ready to take to the sky not unlike the words of the song my mom used to sing to me.
Summertime,
And the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high
Your daddy's rich
And your mamma's good lookin'
So hush little baby
Don't you cry
One of these mornings
You're going to rise up singing
Then you'll spread your wings
And you'll take to the sky
But till that morning
There's a'nothing can harm you
With daddy and mamma standing by
Summertime,
And the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high
Your daddy's rich
And your mamma's good lookin'
So hush little baby
Don't you cry
A poigniant song that currently brings tears to my eyes.
Anyhooo enough of the sentimental mush stuff!
I mentioned earlier that the police had interviewed me. I was really nervous about this but it turned out to be fine, a nice lady police officer in plain clothes and an unmarked car came to the house and my mom was allowed to sit in on the interview with me.
In other news:
I am currently investigating bass teachers in the local area as my one moved to London...grrrr! I shall take comfort in the fact that God provides to those he calls so yeah I'm not too worried and I wish my last bass teacher the best of luck in London. Lucky devil!
Yours in randomness!

Hey RG,
Wow, finishing school surely is quite a daunting time as you realise all those years are behind and the future ahead seems unclear.
God indeed does have a wonderful plan for your life and He really wants to bless you in it all. It may take time to realise quite what He's made you for, but be patient, trust in and follow Him and He will make it clear over time.
One big question people often ask is "How can I know if I'm in God's will?" to which Heather and I reply, "If you want to be in His will and keep your heart open to Him, you'll know if you're in it or not." His peace will guide you, and if you do start going the wrong way, you'll hear a voice saying, "No, this is the way, walk here." You're in the safest hands as you take these next steps in your life.
God bless you,
Steve xo
